Why did I choose to breed Cane Corso?

Already as a little child I used to go with my father,who was breeding German Shepherd dogs to his drill field. I liked dogs like German Mastiff and Boxer. That's why, after several dogs without pedigree I obtained my first dog with pedigree, black female of German Mastiff named Caly. Then started an exhibition chain, which continues till nowadays. Caly was favourite for her excelent character, majesty and intelligence. After several years the puppy had grown on the old ill lady. We knew that the end of her day´s is coming, so we were studying other breeds which would be similar to her. For the first time we have met with at that time not very known breed Cane Corso on an exhibition in Nitra. After a long time of collection of information about the breed and about breeders, we knew exactly that we wanted new pupy from the advisor of the breed (now our frend) Mr.Tibor Matis. After the first, non-binding visit we decided to book new puppy from his breeding kennel. After the second visit, when the puppies were at last born, we could not resist and we have taken the puppy with name Rosalinda from the previous litter. In a few weeks we returned for the booked puppy - Serena. Serena and Rosalinda, nowadays already Grand Champions of the Slovak Republic with work exams, have become the basis of our breeding kennel - Edimark.
